On a perfect Spring day, Joy and Matt surrounded by their friends and family at Moor Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield promised to love, honour, and cherish for the rest of their lives and sealed their devotion with a kiss, which was heralded as the beginning of something new. Tucked in the rolling landscape of Lake District, they said the vows at historical Langdale Chase in Windermere. The wedding day began with preparation at Langdale Chase Hotel. It’s not everyday I get to photograph a bride getting ready for her wedding day in the classic English country house built in 1890 …but I loved every minute of shooting around the Langdale Chase and discovering gorgeous views around every corner. It was a charming and heartfelt wedding ceremony… Large imposing rooms, oak-panelled and mellowed with the years, a collection of fine oil paintings, ornate carved fireplaces and the magnificent oak staircase tell their own story of a hotel rich in history and character. That is the perfect setting for wedding. When Nicola, Chris and I first met for the wedding photography consultation, it was in one of the coffee shops in Manchester city center. We chatted about their wedding day, and the amazing details they had planned for their wedding at Macdonald Kilhey Court in Wigan.
